Board and Paper Standard

We spec greyboard at 1200 g minimum for every rigid wine box. For spirits and heavier bottles, we move to 1400 g. Facing paper starts at 157 g specialty or coated stock. We do not use recycled greyboard or high-moisture paper. This keeps corners sharp and panels flat after lamination, on box-and-bag sets and standalone rigid boxes.

Insert and Bottle Fit Checks

For wine bags, the bottle must sit at four contact points. No neck or shoulder is left unsupported. On box inserts, we check the same rule with velvet tray, EVA foam, blister or paper mould. Before any run ships, we shake the loaded bag or box for 10 seconds and look for movement. Then we tilt it 45 degrees and check slide. Finally, we invert it. If the bottle releases, the insert is reworked.

Tolerances and Color Control

Our control tolerance is plus or minus 1 mm on inserts and plus or minus 2 mm on box bodies. Foldable boxes must have creases that do not crack, magnet positions within plus or minus 1 mm, and corners at 90 degrees when erected. For color, we match Pantone references, approve a first article, and sample mid-run. Black, deep blue and burgundy get extra attention because they are the hardest to hold across materials.

In-House Pre-Shipment Checks

Our in-house checks start with a loaded bottle in the bag or box. We drop it from 1.2 m on six faces. Then we stack it under 40 kg or more for 24 hours. We also run truck and sea vibration simulation. The pass line is simple: no internal movement, no split seams, no crushed corners. Only after this do we pack and release the order.
